I really appreciate you checking in to see what's happening in my world.
This is the best source for news and information about me and what I do. This is where the images first get posted and future plans get announced.
I may not post on a daily basis but whatever I post will be interesting.
This is a kind of journal/personal/professional photo album that will help you to know me a little better.

So my friend and über-coordinator
Jackie from Jackie Ohh Events calls and asks if I'm
available to come over to the Mayfair House in the Grove to cover the launch of
the latest women's fragrance by the hottest designer name in Europe... and by
the way (as if that wasn't enough)... the world's largest advertiser is also
launching the latest Cover Girl lip gloss.. and I go like...yeah?! (well I
really don't talk like that but... you get the
picture).
As you can see, it
was an elegant and relaxed ultra chic affair for the editors of the main fashion
publications in all of the
Americas.
Photographer-Client
privilege prevents me from showing any faces of the attendees but there were
quite a few heavy hitters in
attendance.
Jackie
turned an area of the Mayfair House into a pink
palace.
Flowers
and floating candles welcomed the
guests,
A
sculpture made with glass and perfume bottles was the centerpiece. Champagne and
strawberries kept flowing.
A
giant ice sculpture in the shape of a perfume bottle to chill the
Cosmopolitans.
The
girls in their Hugo Boss dresses were handing out gloves to sample the lip
gloss.
The
girls get in their positions right before the guests
arrive.
The
presentation.
Toward
the end of the evening.. strawberries and
cream.
Jackie
and the girls in front of the "goodie bags" the guests got to take
home.
I
kind of suspected it but the video of the bride cutting off her hair is fake,
according to a report from CTV out of Canada the video was produced by a student
from Ryerson
University.
Apparently this is
the new way of getting "discovered" if you are in the acting business. The video
got 2 million hits in the last two weeks. That roughly translates into $16
million at the box office. Not bad for a production that cost less than $100.00
(the girl playing the bride did not use a wig, she actually cut her own hair)
and the distribution was free.
Yilien and Andre are a real fun couple
to work with. They are going to be getting married in May but wanted to get the
session done in time for the bridal shower. Yilien's Mom who came along for the
shoot turned out to be a great
helper.

The year is off to a great
start! Yesterday, I had the pleasure
of photographing Jessica & Luis' awesome wedding at St. Kevin's with the
reception being held at the Starlight Roof of The Miami Beach
Resort & Spa . Everything turned out great. Here are some
images:
The
bride and groom looked great
Jessica
is about to enter the church... one last deep
breath...
Luis
realizes the magnitude of the step he is about to take. The priest's gesture
seems to say "Don't worry son... The Lord got your
back"
As
the doors open. Two hundred pairs of eyes look at
Jessica
The
view from the back
Here
is a shot of the shoes and the bride and groom
toasting
The
first dance was very emotional there was not a dry eye in the house. Luis
knows how to put the finishing touch on a great first
dance.
Those of you who are regular
readers of this blog might remember, back at the beginning of the football
season, my post on this blog after the first Dolphins game. click

Nick Saban doing what he does best: making up excuses
I
am not what you'd call an avid sports fan but I do follow the local South
Florida teams. I new then that Nick Saban was not the man that would lead the
Dolphins anywhere. It was evident in that first game.
However, the South Florida media
chose to believe all his excuses for poor performance and lack of leadership and
was telling everyone that it was: "... only the first game..." and that there
were "adjustments" that needed to be made.
Today, as he gives a press
conference accepting the head coach job at Alabama and declares to the rest of
the world that "... I intend to win every game..." (gee... why didn't he think
of that while he was here) that same South Florida media is calling him all
kinds of names, they are saying things like: quitter, lier, weasel, coward,
short(?) and everything in between. I wonder what took them so long.
As they say: One town's loss
is another town's gain (except that we really gained by his leaving the
Dolphins; 15-17 is not what I'd call a desirable performance).
Now the Bama fans and
media are falling all over themselves to welcome him (I mean we are talking
Police Motorcycle Escort and everything). I wonder how long will it take for
them to change their mind.
May the New Year bring you
an abundance of health, wealth and happiness in the company of your loved
ones!!!.
One of my "New
Year's Resolutions" is to exercise more often, so I'm starting the year off by
riding my bike. It's been a beautiful day, it's about 75º and sunny.
Ana and Raul were my last Engagement
Session of this past year. They wont be getting married until May 5th (Cinco de
Mayo) but he is in the military (just came back from a year in Iraq) and his
schedule does vary so we figured that this would be the best time to do
it. They were so into each other and
wonderful to work
with.
